Ear-rie Experience

A day after my schoolmates sponsored BBQ reunion (Thanks to Wee Wern for the invite), I decided to go for ear check-up since during my 3rd semester, my hearing been de-proved by roughly 30% and ever since I got my ass back home, I tried several methods to get rid of the shit blockage in my ear including ear candling (which it only relaxes you but not really removes your blockage)

Ear candling - good for healing insomnia

and seeking for parental assistance? It only costs more pain. So back to my story, after reunion night (which I had fun and never really laugh so much since I went Kuantan before Pesta Tanglung in semester 3), I went to government clinic to check (It's really cheap and good for mild sickness or condition like fever, flu, etc.- cost only RM1, kids below 12 - FREE). I registered at 2pm and it only consult me at 4.30pm (what the??). The doctor from the look of it a newbie check my ear, found the blockage and use tweezers something like this only bigger...

YES! The one u use for operation big kind of scissors. What was I thinking to let the doctor use that to pull it out of my ear??

One second in, the next ear inflammation happened. The doctor later prescribed ear drop medicine which suppose to help with the blockage. That night I put 2 drops each on both of my ears. The next morning, I was DEAF. Imagine a world without music. I suffered for the next 2 days (Saturday and Sunday). Today, otherwise, is Monday thankfully the hospital is open!!! I went for Ear Specialist cost me around RM 150 for ear vacuum. Swooooop!! I can hear the nurses rejoice!! Shouting "Congratulations!!!" - That was an exaggeration. Anyway, morale lesson here is don't try to save a few buck and regret to seek for the best solution.

Side story: In the goverment clinic, I also took the opportunity to test for Thalassemia - the result was given on the spot. Negative. =)
